Happy! I'm updating this before I do anything else because I'm feeling good, and I'm afraid that it won't stick. I really am in a good mood, and I'm really going to try to stay in a good happy mood, but you never know, and I don't want it to end without any of the goodness expressed somehow. I worked tonight, with Joe though, so it was cool. He makes me laugh. And he's the least professional manager-type personality that I've ever met. It's good. Retail should be more like that. It's too serious and hard-assed. On my way home from (and to, actually) work I had my tape titled "More chics" playing. This is just a mix tape of girl singers. No ani...but the rest are fabulous. It's such a good tape! I can't imagine why I haven't listened to it much before today. My break was good. I signed our sponsor child Nichole's birthday card with some wonderful advice that I think may help her, since she's starting high school this year. It was short, sweet stuff like, have fun and make yourself happy. So maybe it wasn't the wonderful...but hey, I tried, right? Anyway, while signing her card, I actually read the message printed on it. I don't usually do that. They're usually so canned and boring that even cards I receive myself are never actually read unless a personal message is uncluded. Anyway, I like this one: A Birthday Wish For time to do Whatever you like, Time to relax in your own way, Time together with the ones you love, Time to think And feel And Be Whoever you are, because who you are is someone very special. Even that ending isn't terribly great...but it's an excellent message, especially for a 14-yr-old from a poor family in KY. I can't cite the author there, because the person wasn't listed, but it was a Forget me not card made by American greetings. Anyway, so now I'm gonna queue some songs for audiogalaxy (my best friend!) to DL for me, and work really hard at keeping this wonderful good energy tonight! :-) | |
