Music "I am walking out in the rain, and I am listening to the low moan, of the dial tone again, and I am getting nowhere with you, and I can't let it go, and I can't get through." -Ani I am in the mood to be quoting music today. Music is wonderful. I am very much wanting to listen to music, experience music, feel music, sing music, be one with music. It most likely results from chorus last night. I love it. I love singing! What else can make a person's body feel so good? I hope Beth still reads this. She'll appreciate this. But after you sing, you're left feeling accomplished. But not just that, in complete awe that you have just created something perfect. Something that is completely beautiful, completely wholesome, completely good. Your body feels tired. Singing can be exhausting. But it is sort of like after you exercise, it's a good tired. And the best part of all is how it feels to breathe. The way that singing forces your lungs and diaphragm to open. The way that air feels so good, and that you can't get enough of it. Deep breaths are wonderful. They make you feel alive. Slow, relaxing, soul food. I'm speaking generally. Maybe other people don't feel this way, and that all of the "you"s should be replaced with "I"s but, either way, for me, it is truly and amazing thing. Okay, I just have to interject this: I just DL-ed like 5 songs in under a minute. They were DL-ing at about 300 Kb/s. Is this normal? Damn, they usually take a long time! I guess certain artists....I dunno. Okay, yeah, lost the groove. I'm sort of talking to Cindy now, so that might be part of it. Also, I am so fucking excited to be going home this weekend! I probably shouldn't be this excited. But damn, I am. I'm not really homesick. I think that if I wasn't going home, I'd be okay. But there's so much good about this upcoming weekend! I can't wait. Okay, I'm done. Enough deep thoughts for now....well, almost... "Come down from the tree, just open your arms and trust, know in your heart that one of these days you must." -Audra McDonald (Thank you Ellen....yeah, I know she didn't write it, but it's her voice, so that works for me) OH, and also, I had no idea that "Smooth Criminal" was a Michael Jackson song!!! Aight, I'm done. | |
