Night Life in College
Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001 13:01

I'm surprised that I managed to actually drag my ass out of bed today. Man...

Last night was insane. I think I'm now beginning to get the full experience of dorm life.

Lauren and I went to a movie that got out a little after midnight. We walked home and ended up in my room, to have some tea (chocolate chai for me!). Well, we were just hangin out here, entertaining ourselves for a while. Eventually Kristen came in and went to bed, and then a while after that, Lauren left, and I tried to go to bed. I was having a hard time falling asleep. By this time it was 2:45 or so. Well, I still hadn't fallen asleep yet when at 3:30, Kane came in. She stood there at the door knocking until I finally got up and answered, and then she came in, turned on the light, and woke up Kristen. She made a lot of noise, and insisted that we had to wake up, and then left us alone for a little while. About 5 minutes later, she came back with 3 drunk guys. She came in, and told them to come in. She was telling everyone to come to our room, using the justification that "It's ok man, they're my neighbors!"

So, here we were, trying to sleep, with a bunch of drunk people in our room. This one kid named Steve was sitting on Kristen's bed with his head down, and he started spitting on the carpet. So, Kane took the initiative to get him out of here before he puked, thankfully. So, the drunk guys gone, I went to the bathroom to get a drink. When I got outside, I found Steve laying on the floor in the hallway with the other guys pouring water down his throat, and pretty much all over him. I just ignored it. I got back to my room, and Kane hung out with us for about a half hour, talking to us. She's cool, I wouldn't have minded if I hadn't been trying to sleep. She left here about 4.

THEN, a little before 5 (*note- I had yet to fall asleep), some drunken asshole pulled the fire alarm. It was freesing out, and the only area we had to stand in outside was where they were watering the grass. It was nearly impossible to not get some of the residual water from the sprinkler system...as if we weren't cold enough already! Damn! So, after waiting for about 20 minutes for the ok to back in, I finally came in, and finally went to bed. I probably fell asleep around 5:30. And I got up at 12:30.

In between, while I was sleeping, a homecoming parade took place, which was rather loud. People were buzzing our room, just for the hell of it, and there were various other loud things happening.

In short, it was impossible to sleep here last night. But it's damn amusing, if you ask me.
