I am so Excited!!!!!

How completely wonderful! Let me relay this little exciting story for you:

During the summer before my junior year of high school, I went to Virginia to visit Amanda T. On my way down, I had a fairly long layover in Pittsburgh. My Uncle and Ann came and took me out to dinner. My uncle also brought me a milemarker T-shirt, explaining that milemarker was the name of the band that my cousin Ben was currently playing with.

Last night at dinner, this kid (also named Ben) said that he was going to see milemarker. It immediatly sparked something in me. I still wear the T-shirt and everything! Even though I'd never heard their music...hmmm. well, anyway, I felt compelled to do some online research about milemarker, and about my cousin. In doing this research I learned that ben now has a solo album out. How cool is that? I also dled a bunch of milemarker stuff, a song off his new album (the only song available) and some songs done by other bands under the same record label. I managed to find all kinds of really really excellent music, just hopping around from site to site on the internet. I also found his email address.

So, I dropped him a line, talking about boring stuff and asking about milemarker etc. He explained that when he had Rick, and became a dad, he stopped playing with milemarker. BUT, now he plays with another band called Bats and Mice, which is apparently with the same group that made up most of sleepytime trio (a band whose cd I own, t-shirt too!). AND, not only that, but that bats and mice is playing at Mass art next month! HOW TOTALLY AWESOME! I dled some bats and mice stuff too, and I definitely like it better than milemarker and sleepytime trio (two bands that I would completely hate if I didn't have a cousin that played in them). And his solo stuff is great. PLUS, I am loving the other bands he is playing here with next month, aaaaah! wonderful!!!

Yeah, this is really bad quality writing. And you're probably confused. Too much excited info all together! But anyway, the point is that I'm excited by all this musical stuff! Wonderful!

Now I just must persuade someone to come to the show with me! eh, shouldn't be too hard, right?
