Affection

I sang for most of the day, and it has left me with this wonderful affectionate high. It's a mood in which I feel compelled to express the following:

I love the crush-like feeling of having a new friend-- the wanting to talk all the time and learn as much as possible, the excitement, the development of affection for that person. And I love that is distinctly separate from any romantic feelings, and that it actually has this odd way of intensifying my romantic feelings for my beloved Miranda. Suddenly the world is a little brighter, and there is more affection to go around.
